Biography
Dr. Molly Black joined OSI in 2022 as an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon. She attended the University of Kansas and Wichita State University for her undergraduate degree. She graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2001 and graduated in 2006 from the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita Campus. She completed her Trauma Fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina in 2007.
Her early practices were in Pennsylvania & Illinois, and she has practiced in Kansas City since 2010. Dr. Black is currently the Officer of Diversity and Inclusion at OSI, an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Kansas City University, and the Orthopedic Trauma Liaison at Research Medical Center. She has been a member of the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts since 2019 and sits on their acupuncture, occupational therapy, office based surgery, sexual misconduct, and disciplinary panels. Dr. Black is a faculty member of AO North America, and holds membership in the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society.
Dr. Black’s favorite thing is spending time with her son and husband. She also enjoys her dogs, chickens, home restoration and remodeling, and snowboarding.
