Biography

Dr. Orth has worked for OSI for 30 years since his graduation in 1993 from his Orthopedic residency. He attended Avila University, then Kansas City University where he graduated as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. His rotating internship was completed in Oklahoma at Tulsa Regional Medical Center. He then came back to Kansas City where he performed his Orthopedic Residency at Parklane Hospital.

Dr. Orth is actively involved with Kansas City University as a Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and has been the Program Director of Kansas City University’s Orthopaedic  Residency for the last 11 years. He also serves as the 3rd President of the AOAO, Chair of the Virtual Resource Center, and member of the Program Director Committee for the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedic Surgery (AOAO).

As an amateur astronomer, Dr. Orth is involved with the Astronomical Society of Kansas City and enjoys taking photos in his free time. He is involved in the community by supporting Camp Encourage, Lee’s Summit Education Foundation, and Boy Scouts of America Troop 1195. He is happily married to his wife, Beth, and he has two sons, Christopher and Wesley.
