Biography

Dr. Cornett joined OSI in 2012 after working in private practice in Midwest City, Okla. He is a graduate of the orthopedic surgery residency program through St. Mary’s Medical Center/Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and worked with the surgeons at OSI.

He graduated from medical school at the Oklahoma State University Center of Health Sciences in Tulsa, Okla. His undergraduate work was completed at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. He also spent time at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, where he played football for the Rangers. He enjoys and is skilled in all aspects of orthopedics, including anterior approach total hip replacements.

Dr. Cornett is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and is an assistant professor of surgery with the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.

Athletics have always played an integral role in his life. In high school, he was the quarterback for a state championship football team. In his spare time, he roots for his beloved Sooners, golfs, travels and enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children.
